This summer I got to go with the youth from our stake to Martin's Cove in Wyoming for an amazing trek experience. I was asked to be the head photographer. Luckily, I had some great assistants who took some awesome pictures. And after I chose my favorite photos, Sis. Koplin was kind enough to put them together into a video. ENJOY!

Pictures of my cuties!

I am finally up to date on my blog. I am glad to share some of the latest comings and goings around here. The kids are so cute that they just melt my heart sometimes.

A couple nights ago, Trey and Daria thought they were really hilarious that they dressed him up in her Barbie dress-up clothes.

Lately Drew has been wearing this winter hat around all the time. I'm not sure if I should take that as an indication that the thermostat needs to be turned up or that Drew is reaching that age when he thinks he looks cool, so he doesn't care what Mom says. He was talking to Ryker on my bed and wanted me to get a picture of it.

We finally got around to celebrating Daria's and Jaxon's birthdays with the extended family last week. Daria was the princess of the party, while they are both the proud new owners of nose warmers courtesy of Uncle Scott and Aunt Shyanne.

I took the three youngest kids to Sears for some pictures, and the goal was to get some decent pictures of Ryker. Unfortunately, he wanted nothing to do with this photo shoot. He just wanted Mommy to hold him the whole time. Luckily, Daria and Trey saved the day with their adorable personalities, and we were able to get some fun Christmas pictures, only a month late. A photo sitting was the last thing on my mind during the holidays. It was such a crazy time.

Daria and Trey were just perfect the whole time. They were very patient with Ryker's moodiness. Trey, in particular, was really hamming it up.

Considering how much Ryker cried during this photo sitting, we sure got some adorable pictures of him.

Lots of Pictures to Share

I have lots of pictures to share, and it hasn't even been a whole year since I posted last. I hope to find time to post the rest of the pictures I want to share in the next day or so.

Daria on her birthday with her new bike and her Beauty & the Beast cake.

At bedtime a couple weeks ago, we let Ryker lie in bed with each of the kids to say goodnight. They liked imitating his thumb- and finger-sucking. But his favorite place to snuggle is right up to mom.

I love taking pictures of this kid. He is a drooler. He is such a joy to have around.

All 17 grandkids on Kevin's side of the family playing at the gym at the church together during the week between Christmas and New Year's.

Ryker was a cute santa on Christmas Day.
Elder Reed and Elder Patterson (who have had 5 baptisms in our ward in Dec. & Jan.) got to spend Christmas morning with us.

The Christmas Eve Nativity Pageant was very fun to watch the kids, and they showed excellent acting skills!

What a sweet boy Ryker is!

The kids really enjoy watching Kevin play the Nintendo DS. I don't really know why, but whatever.

Ryker is smiling at Kevin here.

Ryker, not enjoying Santa so much. And Trey wouldn't sit on his lap, so we had to be alright with him just standing in front.

One night shortly after Kevin and I started our fitness challenge, Drew came to me in the laundry room to find out if they (the kids) could do an exercise video. I agreed and a few minutes later I came upstairs to this. Priceless!

Long Time, No Blog

I know I haven't posted anything on my blog in 15 months, but I had a lot of pictures I wanted to share, and this is much easier than sending a bunch of emails. We had an eventful month. First, I was finally able to get some pictures taken of the kids, since I hadn't done any in over a year. And I hadn't gotten any of them together as a group in almost three years. We were way overdue for some pictures of the kids. And we did it just in time for Daria to do a haircut on herself and for Jaxon to lose his two front teeth.

Then Drew turned eight, quite a special birthday. For his big day, he requested a Ninja Turtle cake, and since his favorite is Donatello, purple was the headband of choice on the cake. Our resident artist who normally decorates the birthday cakes was busy working all day, so that left me to do the decorating. I looked online for a fondant icing recipe and did my own fondant from scratch and got this as the result. I must say I was quite pleased with how it turned out.

When Drew had his baptism last weekend, we had a great day. Kevin's family was there to support him.

It was a special time for our family as our first child got baptized because it gave us an extra opportunity to discuss some of the principles that we preach every week during family home evening.

After the baptism, everyone came over for refreshments. Drew opened some special presents, including the "Comforter" from Gma & Gpa Lewis and new scriptures from us.
